GRAND TOUR OF SWITZERLAND PHOTO SPOTS!

Since our end of quarantine, we have spent most weekends exploring the Grand Tour photo spots. To do this, we have used the amazing train system for our explorations. The train rides have been very enjoyable, and we have had so much fun at each of the stops we have visited.

So, what is the Grand Tour of Switzerland? The Grand Tour is a route through Switzerland that includes many of the top sights of Switzerland along a scenic route. The complete “tour” through Switzerland is 1,643 km (or 1,021 miles). Switzerland Tourism recommends that you take the summer to complete the full route.

Along the Grand Tour, there are fifty-six photo spots. These spots include some of the most beautiful viewing points along the tour, and they are marked by red frames. As you all have read in the past, I truly loved finding the fifty of the LOVEworks in Virginia, and I’m looking forward to finding many of these photo spots. Gregg and I (that really means me) set a goal to find twenty-five of the Grand Tour photo spots during our first year of living here. To date, we have visited six including waterfalls, caves, a mountain top, and the spot where three countries meet! So, yes, these spots are in seriously epic places.

Now, you may be asking… well, why are you doing this? Well, we want to see as much of Switzerland as possible, and we want to experience all of its’ beauty and culture. Swiss Tourism has done an amazing job creating this Grand Tour, and some of the spots are not the normal attractions that you hear about all of the time! We are doing these signs as a family as well, so the quality time together has been amazing. It’s full of fun and smiles and as a bonus we are learning about Swiss history.
