OPRYLAND DURING CORONA!

Have you ever been to a Gaylord Hotels property? We have not either until my friend, Laurie, suggested it to us when I asked her about what to do in Nashville. And, wow, we were blown away.

When we walked into the hotel, there was a table with masks and sanitizer if needed. To enter, a mask was required so it was nice to have that available for anyone who did not have a mask with them. There was also signage all over the resort explaining how to “Travel with Confidence” during this time.

I had reserved an exterior room when I booked because it was the only one available. Luckily, Opryland upgraded us to an interior room, which looks over the atrium.

Once we opened the door to the room, we were in awe. The room was beautiful, but the view from the balcony was gorgeous. From our balcony, we could hear the soothing waterfall and see all of the beautiful greenery and water features. Thank you so much, Opryland, for upgrading us so we could enjoy the sights and sounds of the atrium. There were also sanitizer wipes and hand sanitizer waiting for us in our room, which was a wonderful surprise.

We arrived in the evening and knew that we did not have too much time to explore so we dropped our things and went out to check out the resort. We decided that the resort was not too crowded and chose to eat dinner at one of the restaurants, which was our first time eating at a restaurant on our trip. We stayed in the Cascades portion of the hotel and decided to try out Cascades American Cafe. When we sat at the table, there was a QR code to scan in order to get the menu. Such a neat feature for these changing times! The food was delicious, and I thought the protocols taken to provide safety for everyone were great.

After a delicious dinner, we decided to check out the water show in the Delta. It was so much fun! The music for the show was super fun, and the girls and I sang and danced along.

Throughout the park, we noticed SummerFest signs and Get Wild signs. The Get Wild signs were for a fun animal scavenger hunt on an app. There were twelve animals signs scattered throughout the resort. Once we found the animals, you could scan the picture and then a 3D-animal would come up for a picture! The girls loved it, and it kept us busy while searching all over the resort.

Opryland had it all, and we did not even have time to go to the pools and new water park. The girls declared it their favorite hotel, and we were all impressed with their safety protocols. Is Opryland on your must do list? Thank you for wandering along with us!
