ROADTRIPPERS TO THE RESCUE!

Like I have mentioned many times before, I love to plan. And, I like to plan as far in advance as possible, which most people think is insane. My family continuously roll their eyes at me when I bring up a travel planning question. But, once I figure out a trip, I truly feel fulfilled.

For our summer road trip last year, I spent months and months researching the places to go. I tweaked our itinerary more times than I can count. I searched google, pinterest, instagram, Facebook, etc. for ideas. I started following travel blogs that could assist with ideas. And, I enjoyed it all.

One day, I came across Roadtrippers. When I found this website, I finally felt like the trip came together. It allowed me to see a visual of where I was going, and it recommended places close to our route to stop. Roadtrippers is a free planning site until you plan more than 8 waypoints or stops in one trip. It is $29.99 to upgrade to Roadtrippers Plus in order to have up to 150 waypoints. When I reached out, Roadtrippers provided me with a 20% off promo code for all of our readers (FPRT235XTX)!!! Thank you so much, Roadtrippers (my referral link).

Below is a screen shot of our route for the road trip on Roadtrippers Plus.

We were on the road for a total of 11 nights. For 5 of the nights, we stayed with family and friends. We used my husband’s Marriott or Hilton points for 4 of the nights, and we paid for hotels for 2 of the nights.

Throughout the next series of posts, I will be diving into more specifics of each of these stops! What planning apps or websites do you use for travel? Do you like lots of stops or just a few big ones? Thank you for reading, and we hope you continue to wander along with us!!
