LLAMA TREKKING IN SWITZERLAND!
Emma and I ventured to Schauffhausen for our mommy-daughter getaway. To end our weekend adventure, we drove to Marthalen to check out Llama trekking with Wyland Usziit. So, what is llama trekking? Well, it is basically taking a hike accompanied by a llama. Some llamas are leashed while others are not. It just depends on the animal! Emma and I had a blast llama trekking in Switzerland.
So, let’s go back to the llamas! Don’t they spit? Yes, some do if provoked! Luckily, the llamas that we hiked with do not spit! And, they were so sweet, soft, and playful. Llamas are domestic animals that have been used as pack animals for centuries.
What happened first?? Well, we drove to the farm and learned about the animals. After becoming comfortable with the llamas, we were paired with a llama. Emma and I were lucky enough to hike with Sayen, who is the mom to one of the other llamas on the farm. She was wonderful, as long as she could see her daughter!
Throughout our hike, we saw beautiful views, lots of cows, and had great conversation. The llamas stopped for a few munch breaks and a water break. Our hike lasted about two hours and Emma was definitely exhausted by the end of it. The experience cost 52 CHF per adult and 36 CHF per child. Thank you Petra and Martin, for an incredible experience that we will never forget! Check out our newest video below to see more about this epic adventure.
Would you try out llama trekking? Thank you so much for wandering along with us!
